WELCOME MESSAGE BY CO-CHAIRPERSON

We are very excited to be hosting the 26th edition of the Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games in January 2020 after 10 years of UG hosting.

We are committed in hosting a memorable Games that befits the status of a premier university in Ghana and also to showcase the talented student athletes that are been nurtured in all the nine (9) participating universities.

It is our goal to continue to imbibe in our student athletes and all stakeholders the morals, values and ethics of sports. The theme for the Games “Integrating Sports into Academia for Youth Empowerment and Development” was carefully chosen to drum home the far reaching possibility that Sports and Education are one of the powerful tools for empowering the youth and causing positive social change.

The LOC made up of industry players across diverse fields of study is working tirelessly to ensure you have a wonderful experience on the campus of University of Ghana.

It is our hope that our athletes will thrill us to exciting performances and exhibit the spirit of fair play on the tracks, fields and courts while our ever vociferous fans will display the rich culture of each institution in the stands.

LEGON 2020 should spark a renaissance in the development of tertiary sports organisation and infrastructure for the ultimate benefit of Ghana.

We wish all stakeholders unforgettable memories of LEGON 2020.
